Funny Animal Poems with John Hegley

Funny Animal Poems with John Hegley I bring you some today.

Hello, my name is John Hegley and the British Library has asked me to go through some of my old notebooks and files and I found a drawing here of a dromedary or a camel and you will see it.

It has a hump there. This is a goat that has no humps, but has two horns and its legs are a bit short, but don’t you worry about that? You know it is a very small animal called an amoeba.

Now it looks like it’s a bit like a fried egg, that point in the eye is actually about how big it actually is, and it splits up to make new ones. That is amoeba.

This here is an aquatic turtle, and this is an armadillo that has the Latin name daisypus novemsynctus, and I’m going to make up a song about it. Well, I already did the song, but now I’m going to sing it to you in my canon, mommy.

He bought me an armadillo, I kissed it and put it under my pillow [Music] and cleaned it with a scouring pad. Now some of you may be wondering what a shiny pad is, a shiny pad is what you use to clean your armadillo. Funny Animal Poems with John Hegley.

He turned it over. I, your mom, used to yell at her when she came home covered in graffiti [, Music]. It was an insectivorous creature, the teacher used to say, and the dog next door.

The carnivore sometimes came and played. We had runs and chases along the riverbank and sometimes we went swimming and sometimes we didn’t, and he had ants and beetles for dinner every day, those creepy critters.

He was able to stay with a few and made his indoor changes to his indoor activities. Try [, Music], but one winter day, when the willow tree was bare. I looked under my pillow.

There were no armadillos, so I ran downstairs and told my mom where it was. He left, she was playing rummy and she looked up and said John, go and put some clothes on. Almost 24

I said mom it’s an emergency and I ran out with the roar, I ran to the river bank and in a rowboat I saw Toby in the distance [Music] with the dog by his side, [, Music], so um, that’s an armadillo song and sometimes I just write poems about the pieces, and sometimes I do things called acrostics where you take the word and put it on the side of the page and say one word for each letter so that the owl opens its lids wide. , because they have big open lids, um owl language, so you can think of longer animal names, uh, for example, you could give it a try, right, you could drive, making up an acrostic for the dazzling cat. November. , the armadillo, and that would be a bit of fun and don’t worry about doing it.What to do with the animal that I can, could be daily, Arthur,

The last song is about a parrot, and this is a song really. I suppose there is an element of vision to this on the part of the people. Be nice to each other, not if someone is a little strange, don’t worry too much and let them develop and they could help Peter.

The orange parrot had a very small beak. Unlike the other parrots, he was never heard to speak, but they were never unpleasant to him, Peter the parrot that does not speak thought it was a very, very fluffy carrot.
